Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the DentalSource platform. By accessing or using DentalSource, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
By accessing or using DentalSource, creating an account, submitting a query, or otherwise engaging with the Services, you represent that: (a) you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy; (b) you are at least 18 years of age; and (c) you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" as used in these Terms refers to both you and that organization.
DentalSource reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after any modification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
DentalSource is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that provides AI-powered, evidence-based clinical decision support for licensed dental professionals. The platform indexes more than 8,000 peer-reviewed dental and oral health sources, including:
The Services generate AI-synthesized summaries of relevant literature in response to clinical queries. All outputs are generated by large language model (LLM) technology and are intended solely as a starting point for professional clinical inquiry.
DentalSource is intended for use by licensed dental professionals only. The Services are designed to assist qualified dental healthcare providers in accessing clinical literature and evidence summaries. DentalSource is not intended for use by patients, members of the general public, or any individual who is not a licensed dental professional.
By using DentalSource, you represent and warrant that you are a licensed dental professional in good standing and that you are using the Services solely in furtherance of your professional practice. DentalSource is intended for use by licensed dental professionals only — access by non-professionals does not create any relationship, obligation, or duty of care on the part of DentalSource.
The Services are provided for educational and informational purposes only. DentalSource is not a diagnostic service, does not provide clinical diagnoses, and is not intended or designed to replace the clinical judgment of a qualified dental professional.
No dentist-patient relationship, provider-patient relationship, or any other professional relationship is created between DentalSource and any user or third party by virtue of use of the Services. DentalSource does not practice dentistry and does not provide dental or medical advice.
Clinical decisions, including diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing, and patient management, remain exclusively within the professional judgment and legal responsibility of the treating dental professional. You should always review, verify, and independently evaluate any information generated by the Services before applying it in clinical practice.
You, as a licensed dental professional, are solely responsible for evaluating the information provided through the Services and for all clinical decisions made in connection with your professional practice. DentalSource provides supporting information only — the weight given to any output, and the ultimate clinical decision, rests entirely with the treating professional.
You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information, and that no AI system can account for the unique facts of an individual patient's presentation, history, or circumstances. You agree to independently verify the accuracy, completeness, and currency of all information before relying upon it in clinical practice.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws, regulations, professional licensing requirements, and ethical standards governing the practice of dentistry in your jurisdiction.
If you are a patient or member of the general public (and not a licensed dental professional), please be aware of the following:
Certain features of the Services may require account registration. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. DentalSource may, in the future, require verification of professional licensure through National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or other credentialing mechanisms. You agree to cooperate with any such verification process.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify DentalSource immediately at peter@dentalsource.ai if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities in connection with the Services:
DentalSource and all content made available through the Services — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, AI models, clinical summaries, and data compilations — are the proprietary property of DentalSource, Inc. and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
The DentalSource name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of DentalSource, Inc. You may not use any DentalSource trademark, trade name, or service mark without the prior written consent of DentalSource.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services solely for your own professional, non-commercial use as a licensed dental professional, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted.
THE INFORMATION AND CONTENT PROVIDED THROUGH DENTALSOURCE IS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE DENTAL ADVICE, MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS. DENTALSOURCE IS INTENDED FOR USE BY LICENSED DENTAL PROFESSIONALS ONLY. THE USE OF THIS SITE DOES NOT CREATE A DENTIST-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP, A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP, OR ANY OTHER PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DENTALSOURCE AND ANY USER OR THIRD PARTY. THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT AND INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH DENTALSOURCE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DENTALSOURCE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND TITLE. DENTALSOURCE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. DENTALSOURCE MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES IS CURRENT, CORRECT, COMPLETE, OR APPLICABLE TO ANY PARTICULAR CLINICAL SITUATION. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DENTALSOURCE, INC., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), AND EVEN IF DENTALSOURCE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF DENTALSOURCE TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE CLAIM OR THE BASIS OF LIABILITY.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DentalSource, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your use of the Services; (c) any clinical decision you make in connection with information obtained through the Services; (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (e) any infringement of any third-party rights.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you hereby irrevocably consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
DentalSource reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, and for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent or harmful conduct, or discontinuation of the Services.
Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.
DentalSource reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Services after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
